Community Meetings Continue in West, Texas
April 21, 2014
This week, Lynn Osgood led the second, in a series of three, public community meetings to develop a new economic development plan for the town of West, Texas. Local residents discussed how visions for large scale industry, downtown revitalization, and cultural heritage programming could come together into a cohesive plan that could lead the city forward following the fertilizer plant explosion that took place in April 2013. These meetings are part of a larger project, Forward West!, funded by St. Vincent DePaul, a Catholic charity that works closely with post-disaster communities to help them get back on their feet.
